Female Genital Mutilation has a high incidence in Africa and the Middle East, where a mid-wife cuts off the external genitalia of young females.100 to 140 million girls have been subjected to this barbaric and cruel ritual.Girls range from infancy to 15 years of age when they are cut, where they are too young to protest and go against their parents, and most suffer in silence due to the shame it causes them.This ritual began back in ancient Egypt with the Pharaohs.
