An environmentalist himself, DiCaprio bought an island called Blackadore Caye in Belize over a decade ago and has been building an eco-friendly resort there, which will open in 2018.
Leo's mom decided to name him Leonardo because when she was pregnant, she felt his first kick while looking at a Leonardo da Vinci's painting in Florence, Italy.
Leo was offered the role of Patrick Bateman in the movie "American Psycho", but negotiations fell through and Christian Bale got the role.

Leonardo DiCaprio was able to prevent Don's plum, an indie film in which he starred, from being released in the US and Canada. Nonetheless, the producer released it over the internet.
